Celebrate with a Summer of Socks! We love'em and you will too! These great and small projects provide comfort through those not so warm months that we experience the better part of the year here in Michigan. They are portable! Take them anywhere; they fit in most bags, purses and pockets! They can go to the beach!... meaning you guessed it' a project small enough to take to the shore with you this summer that will not cover your lap in the sun. Knit them for yourselves, knit them for family, better yet… knit a pair for your favorite knitter! You know they would appreciate your time.

Class fees and policies: Payment of class fee is required at the time of class registration. Please note that Class fees are non-refundable. Class fees are as follows:

  • 2-week class is $25.00 +materials
  • 3-week class is $35.00 +materials
  • 4-week class is $45.00 +materials

IN STORE PRIVATE LESSONS:
Also available are private lessons for crochet or knitting. These run $15 for each two hour session. Call us and we will have an instructor contact you to set up a time that is convenient for you and her at the store. This is a great way to get the information that you need if the class times don't work for you.
Additional Private lessons and services are available off-site with Janet Grimm. Janet also provides custom knitting, repairs and finishing of your knitted projects! Contact store for additional information and to be connected to Janet.

MISCELLANEOUS

Yarn Dyeing:

We are very excited to offer this unigue and fun class here at Stitching Memories. The test results have been great! Learn to die your own yarn! Sock yarn too! There is no expensive upfront investment, you can re-use any household utensils when you re-create this experience at home, and I bet you will! . Simple directions will be provided! No additional materials are required, all will be included in class fee and you will leave with your own hand painted sock yarn! Only ten folks to a class and everyone will be paired up with a partner so sign up with a friend or meet someone new! We will also be outside to enjoy the summer weather! Several dates are provide for this three-hour class, additional classes will be added as needed. Class fee is $55.00

We hope their patterns inspire you as they have been inspired by the craft. Broadripple socks!
This pattern is a deceptively simple ripple stitch pattern. Using a few spaced increases and decreases worked and repeated every two rounds you will create a wonderfully fun sock to wear. Worked on DPNS and using Cascade's Fixation these socks are fun. Free pattern too.
